RapidIO provides extensive care to your embedded computer



RapidIO was also designed to support peer-to-peer embedded computer. It was assumed multiple host or master processors would be in the system and that those processors needed to communicate with each other through shared memory, interrupts, and messages. Multiple processors (up to 16K) can be configured in a RapidIO network, each with their own complete address space.
RapidIO also provides a clean dividing line between the functionality of embedded computers and endpoints. RapidIO switches only make switching decisions based on explicit source/destination address pairs and explicit priorities. This allows RapidIO endpoints to add new transaction types without requiring changes or enhancements to the switch devices.

Gaming Device Manager

Acrosser is now pleased to announce the availability of Acrosser’s gaming platforms with direct support for e2c’s Gaming Device Manager (GDM) software; thus allowing us to provide our customers with a “Game Ready Platform.”
The Acrosser gaming platform presents the application developer with a simple and coherent API which takes care of all the complex device management functions; both on the Acrosser gaming board and all the external peripherals. Since the GDM supports all major peripheral manufacturers and device protocols, selecting and adding peripherals is now a simple task. The Acrosser Gaming platform can quickly be combined with all the industry standard peripherals, offering reduced time to market and improved system reliability; as well as the other major benefits of the GDM’s device bstraction layer.
